A Story of Hope, Safety, and Second Chances

For more than 20 years, Lonoke County Safe Haven has been a place where survivors can find safety when they have nowhere else to turn. Since 2005, we have provided a promise of hope and a haven of safety for individuals and families impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.

Every day, someone in our community faces a decision no one should have to make: stay in a dangerous situation or leave with nowhere to go. When that call comes, our 24/7 crisis helpline answers. When a survivor arrives at our door, our emergency shelter provides a safe place to sleep, a warm meal, support, and a path forward.

Last year alone, Lonoke County Safe Haven provided 4,598 safe nights of shelter to adults and children fleeing violence. We answered 1,417 crisis calls, provided outreach services to survivors rebuilding their lives, facilitated support groups, and assisted hundreds of individuals with essential needs such as transportation, housing assistance, and safety planning.

Behind every number is a person. A mother who escaped abuse with her children in the middle of the night. A survivor of sexual assault seeking support and healing. A young person exploited through trafficking who needed someone to believe them and help them start over.
