Support Every Step of The Way

Our shelter is designed to feel like home, complete with a kitchen, living room, playroom, and laundry facilities. LCSH understands that recovery is a personal journey without a set timeline. That’s why we offer flexible stays, with 30-day evaluations to tailor support to each individual’s needs.

While the individuals and families are at the shelter, all of their basic needs are met. They also receive one-on-one crisis intervention and case management from advocates as well as counseling from a certified counselor.

Our comprehensive support extends beyond shelter; we provide access to medical care, basic necessities, assistance in finding housing, and help with travel expenses to reunite you with your support network. A 24-hour hotline ensures you always have someone to talk to, and we’re here to welcome those from other areas when local options are full.

Financial assistance is part of our conversation about your path to independence, with support groups, transportation, assistance with lease breaking, resume and job application help, and counseling available to aid in your recovery. Our goal is to empower you with the tools and support you need to rebuild and lead a healthy, self-sufficient, and violence free life.

Your Support Saves Lives

Volunteers are vital to the mission of Lonoke County Safe Haven. From supporting community members in need to working alongside licensed counselors and advocates, their generosity is invaluable. Join us in making a difference by sharing a meal, offering companionship, or leading skill-building classes. Help us spread the promise of hope.

LCSH utilizes volunteers in all forms. Being a non-profit, we depend on volunteers to help us meet the needs of those affected in our community! We work with licensed counselors and medical professionals to help with immediate and ongoing needs. We also like to utilize volunteers for life skills and social interaction within the shelter. This could be bringing dinner, spending time, helping organize, or teaching classes that will give our victims skills to help them better themselves. We also use volunteers for a lot of our maintenance needs – if you have a skill or trade and would be willing to help us maintain our property / equipment – we would greatly appreciate you reaching out!
